Congratulations to all Suyonians!
I feel great and with delight that as I commence my leadership in our municipality being the new Local Chief Executive for the next three years; a new endeavor in the field of information technology comes hand in hand. We know for a fact that during the first term of office of our former mayor, the establishment of FREE WiFi connection to all barangays is a breakthrough not only to our linkage in the virtual world but it likewise give a better and on-hand access for our young on their educational research. With the creation of the official website of the Local Government Unit of Suyo, Ilocos Sur, we are challenging ourselves as stakeholders of this municipality towards a more progressive and globally competitive in the cybernetic arena.
As I have said, the foundations of integral development to our town have already been laid by the previous administration. It is high time to bring those pillars to a higher level of progress. Our official website shall serve as a one-stop-shop of authentic and reliable information to various probable economic, tourism and cultural advances in our municipality. With proper management and regular updating, we anticipate higher number of tourism influx, economic exploration and cultural exchange program for the next two years.
Once again, kudos to everyone!

Suyo Municipality has a mountainous terrain; it has adequate arable lands where the people could grow productive agro- agri-cultural crops. Suyo community has a cold and healthy climate because of its pine and broadleaf forest cover. Although limited, the presence of an irrigation system enables the people to plant rice thrice a year in Barangay Baringcucurong, and limited area of Poblacion and Suyo Proper. The lands are fertile and the climate is favorable for the production of tobaccos, coffee, cacao, banana, ginger, sweet potatoes, tiger grass, fruit trees and vegetables. Suyo is a “Watershed Municipality” like no other is also a natural “Water Provider.”
